Langton Skating Club offers special events throughout the year alongside our regular programming. Additionally, as a member of Skate Canada, skaters have access to competitions, information, and the wider world of the sport by creating accounts with Skate Ontario, our provincial sport organization, and Skate Canada, our national governing body.
Each year, our coaching team encourages skaters to consider attending competitions across the province. Details will be shared by the coaches about these exciting events. To register for competitions, skaters (or their guardians) will need to create an account with Skate Ontario. You can follow this link for step-by-step instructions.
As skaters progress, creating an account with Skate Canada provides access to achievement records, training resources, and technical support. To create your Skate Canada account, follow this link.

SKATE ONTARIO SYNCRO STAR AWARD

Ice Crystals Star 4 of the Langton Skating Club are the winners of the 2024 Skate Ontario Synchronized Skating STAR Award.
This team was nominated by their coach, Alexandra Casier. According to Alexandra, "Our synchronized skating team is nothing short of extraordinary. Their synchronized performances are a testament to their impeccable teamwork, precision, and dedication. Each member brings their unique strengths to the ice. What truly sets them apart is not just their technical proficiency, but also their unwavering support for one another. They cheer each other on, lift each other up, and celebrate every victory as a team. Beyond their undeniable talent, they embody the true essence of sportsmanship. It's an absolute privilege to coach such an amazing group of skaters who continually inspire and uplift each other, both on and off the ice."
Despite originating from diverse skating backgrounds and possessing varying levels of experience, this team has forged a strong bond that translates into seamless synchronization on the ice. They embrace new ideas, explore innovative choreography, and adjust to changes in routines or strategies with ease. This flexibility allows them to continuously evolve and remain competitive in the ever-changing landscape of synchronized skating.
They conduct themselves with grace and sportsmanship, representing their club with pride.

Langton Skating Club has earned the 'Exceeded Standard' in the Skate Ontario CanSkate Excellence Recognition program.
Langton Skating Club has gone above and beyond the minimum standard guidelines set by Skate Canada, offering an exceptional program to its skaters. A STAR will be added to our
club listing on the Skate Ontario website to highlight this achievement.
